Description

Sealers Rubber Seal is a one component non-drying permanently flexible material designed for sealing rigid and expansion joints between all combination of wood, glass, metal and masonary surfces without a primer.

Composition: Butyl rubber, resins, inert pigments

Odor: Nil - will not contaminate sweet butter

Color: Gray - ASTM-D1729-69

Weight Per Gallon: 12 to 13 pounds - ASTM-D71-72

Percent Solids: Theoretical 90% - ASTM-C771-74

Percent Shrinkage: 15% Maximum

Low Temperature Flexibility: No cracking, separation or loss of adhesion of a ___" diameter bead on galvanized steel when bent at  60°F over a 1/2" mandrel. ASTM-C-711-72 ASTM-C763-73

Adhesion: Adheres to oily metal surfaces, painted and unpainted galvanized steel or aluminum. Test per AAMA 809.2 1976, paragraph 4.1.

Moisture Vapor Transmission (MVT): Less than 1.0 gram per day per M2, 20 mil, ASTM-E-96.

Slump: Maximum slump of 3/16" at 210°F ASTM-D-2202.

Bubble Formation: Will not exceed 25% of surface after 72 hours at 160°F.
