Sheet Metal Connectors, Inc. offers TDC cleats (transverse duct connection) and TDF Cleats (transverse duct flange) as part of our complete line of HVAC products.
For use with a TDC/TDF connection, our TDC cleats are durable and economical, with a “breakaway” style making them simple to work with on job sites. TDC cleats, made of 22-gauge galvanized steel, come 30” in length and are pre-cut so they can be separated into five 6” cleats.
TDF cleats, for use with transverse duct flange connections, are used in conjunction with TDF formed on flanges to secure the connection along the transverse joint. Our TDF cleats are made of 20-gauge galvanized steel and are pre-punched to ensure faster installation. Cleats are installed at 6” intervals along the flange.
