Round Back Draft Damper (RBD)

Sheet Metal Connectors is proud to distribute and sell Standard Metal Products dampers and louvers.

The Round Back Draft Damper (RBD) is designed to fit inside the pipe with a welded 2″ deep frame that’s undersized 1/4″ for easy installation. The .025 aluminum butterfly style blades are attached to the damper using 1/4″ plated rod and bronze bushings. Round Back Draft Dampers, distributed by Sheet Metal Connectors, Inc., come with a spring closure attached to the blades that seals the blade up tightly against a neoprene gasket.

Frame: Sizes 6″ to 8″ – 16 ga galvanized x 2″ – welded
Sizes 10″ to 36″ 10 ga galvanized x 2″ – welded
Blade: .025 3003 aluminum butterfly style
Bushings: 1/4″ bronze Oilite
Rod: 1/4″ round CRS plated for rust and corrosion resistance
Spring: 1/4″x 2-1/2″ steel extension spring
Gasket: 1/8″ x 1/2″ neoprene gasket
